Obituary of Robert John Sczenski

Robert John Sczenski (73) resident of Plummer, ID passed away at his home on April 13, 2021. He was born to Robert and Adeline (Rickman) Sczenski on October 20, 1947 in Tekoa, WA. As a child Robert’s family traveled around a lot. He grew up on the Coeur d’ Alene Reservation and was homeschooled by his mother. Robert later went to work helping his mother at Adeline’s, the smoke shop his mother owned located in Worley, ID. He also worked several janitorial jobs in the local stores and taverns. Bob loved to fish! He also enjoyed watching Westerns – Bonanza and The Lone Ranger to name a few. He spent most all of his life living with his mother and his brother Gerald at their home in Plummer. Bob is survived by his mother Adeline Fanning at their home in Plummer; brothers Gerald Fanning at their home in Plummer, Thomas Fanning and Don (Barbara) Szenski all of Plummer; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Scenzki Sr. and step-father Clyde Fanning. Family night was celebrated on April 15, 2021 at the Rose Creek Longhouse in Worley. Rosary was recited on April 16, 2021 and a Mass of Christian Burial was on April 17, 2021 at 10:00 am both at the Rose Creek Longhouse in Worley. He was laid to rest with both his father and his step-father at Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, WA.
